TODAY’S BEST DEALS

REASONS TO BUY

  • Extremely strong
  • Giant screen can be helpful

REASONS TO AVOID

  • Difficult to transport
  • Exorbitant price

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is the best Android tablet, but not everyone will like it because of its big 14.6-inch screen. Its size dwarfs even the biggest iPad Pro, but thanks to the accompanying S Pen pen, it’s also a fantastic tool for taking notes, editing documents, producing artwork, and doing other productivity-related activities.

The Tab S8 Ultra’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU provides plenty of power for the display, which is sharp at 1848 x 2960 and fluid at 120 Hz. This is the perfect gadget for video conferences because it also includes a fantastic 12MP ultra-wide camera on the front.

In our assessment, we praised its four speakers, enormous storage capacity, and quality, though fragile-feeling, appearance. Therefore, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has everything. If you wish to use it as a laptop, you can even purchase a keyboard folio. Although it is more pricey, the size does make it less portable than certain slates.

2. Lenovo Yoga Tab 13

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Weight: 830g
  • Dimensions: 293.4 x 204 x 6.2-24.9mm

  • Resolution: 1350 x 2160 pixels
  • CPU: Snapdragon 870
  • Storage: 256GB
  • microSD slot: No
  • Battery: 10,200mAh
  • Rear camera: None
  • Front camera: 8MP

TODAY’S BEST DEALS

REASONS TO BUY

  • Nice integrated stand
  • Excellent speaker quality

REASONS TO AVOID

  • Cases are difficult to use due to design
  • No back camera

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 stands out from the crowd because to its little deviation from typical tablets. The slate functions flawlessly as a standard tablet, but it also has a built-in stand that lets you use it as a stand-alone device without a case and a micro HDMI port that makes it simple to use the slate as a second screen for a laptop or other device. These are two features that we found to be very helpful.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 is excellent for anything requiring music because it also features a large speaker by tablet standards. In addition, you get a large 13-inch screen with a resolution of 1350 by 2160, a Snapdragon 870 CPU, and a good quantity of storage.

The lack of a back camera is another surprising decision, but tablets are never the best devices for capturing pictures. We also found that the design made it difficult to use with a case. However, if you value a kickstand or a tiny HDMI port, this is the Android tablet to buy.

Android tablets

3. Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Weight: 575g
  • Dimensions: 285 x 185 x 5.7mm
  • OS: Android 10
  • Screen size: 12.4-inch
  • Resolution: 1752 x 2800 pixels
  • CPU: Snapdragon 865 Plus
  • Storage: 128GB/256GB
  • microSD slot: Yes
  • Battery: 10,090mAh
  • Rear camera: 13MP (wide) + 5MP (ultrawide)
  • Front camera: 8MP

TODAY’S BEST DEALS

REASONS TO BUY

  • Stunning OLED screen
  • Premium design

REASONS TO AVOID

  • Android doesn’t have many high-quality tablet apps
  • Expensive, but it’s worth it

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus remains excellent today and is a strong competitor to the iPad Pro lineup in addition to being the finest tablet Samsung had ever produced at the time of debut. Given that it boasts a 12.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 2800 x 1752 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, it may even outperform those slates. We were quite impressed with this screen, and the iPad Pro series can equal most of that, but those slates have LCD panels, which aren’t nearly as brilliant.

The Snapdragon 865 Plus CPU in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus provides a ton of power as well, making it the fastest Android tablet we had ever used at launch. Additionally, it boasts a 5.7mm thick, superior metal construction that is very thin.

A 5G version is also available for quick mobile data, and the tablet comes with Samsung’s S Pen pen. This is a real productivity computer once a keyboard (available separately) is added. However, even without that, this is a premium slate that is excellent for media.

4. Lenovo Tab P11 Pro

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Weight: 485g
  • Dimensions: 264.3 x 171.4 x 6.9mm
  • OS: Android 10
  • Screen size: 11.5-inch
  • Resolution: 1600 x 2560 pixels
  • CPU: Snapdragon 730G
  • Storage: 128GB
  • microSD slot: Yes
  • Battery: 8,600mAh
  • Rear camera: 13MP (wide) + 5MP (ultrawide)
  • Front camera: 8MP + 8MP

TODAY’S BEST DEALS

REASONS TO BUY

  • Awesome OLED display
  • Powerful quad speakers

REASONS TO AVOID

  • Weak camera
  • Average power

The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro is an odd rival to Samsung’s long-held dominance in the high-end Android tablet market. Lenovo isn’t renowned for producing high-quality Android tablets, but the Tab P11 Pro is a serious competitor to devices like the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Plus.

This tablet is large, crisp, and packed with powerful OLED technology thanks to its 11.5-inch 1600 x 2560 OLED screen. With the exception of its traditional 60Hz refresh rate, we found it to be a delight to watch video on as it also supports HDR10. The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro is a capable media device with powerful quad speakers and a large 8,600mAh battery, making it a terrific travel companion.

The Lenovo Tab P11 Pro has a stylish metal design, supports a keyboard and a pen, and can be used as a productive tool, yet it still can’t compete with a standard laptop. We thought its performance was mediocre and that its cameras weren’t very good, but given its shockingly low price, we can live with those compromises.

5. Amazon Fire HD 10 Plus (2021)

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Weight: 468g
  • Dimensions: 247 x 166 x 9.2mm
  • OS: Fire OS
  • Screen size: 8-inch
  • Resolution: 880 x 1280
  • CPU: quad-core
  • Storage: 32GB/64GB
  • Battery: up to 12 hours
  • Rear camera: 5MP (wide)
  • Front camera: 2MP

TODAY’S BEST DEALS

REASONS TO BUY

  • Competitive pricing
  • High-quality screen

WHY TO AVOID

  • Could be speedier and looks dated

The Amazon Fire HD 10 Plus (2021) has a lot going for it owing to its gorgeous 10.1-inch display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, even though it may not be the best of the bunch for Android tablets. That makes it perfect for viewing your favorite movies or television shows, especially because it has a battery life of about 12 hours, so you won’t run out of power mid-show.

This is a good low-cost media machine; in our assessment, we were also rather satisfied with the speakers for the money. Storage is constrained to 32GB or 64GB, and in a perfect world, we’d want faster performance because the processor was a touch out of date even at launch, but for the price, it’s not awful at all.

6. Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Weight: 476g
  • Dimensions: 244.5 x 159.5 x 5.7mm
  • OS: Android 10
  • Screen size: 10.4-inch
  • Resolution: 1200 x 2000 pixels
  • CPU: Exynos 9610
  • Storage: 64GB/128GB
  • microSD slot: Yes
  • Battery: 7,040mAh
  • Rear camera: 8MP (wide)
  • Front camera: 5MP

TODAY’S BEST DEALS

REASONS TO BUY

  • Rugged construction
  • S Pen included

REASONS TO AVOID

  • Can be a touch laggy
  • Some S Pen difficulties

Are you willing to give up some of the Galaxy Tab S6’s features in exchange for a less expensive tablet? If so, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite could be your best option for an Android tablet. Although it costs around half as much as its sister, all of its specifications are still extremely amazing for a slate at this price. The CPU isn’t as powerful, the cameras aren’t as good, and the screen isn’t as gorgeous.

Considering how little (or how much) you pay on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, it’s a pretty nice device. The sturdy design and the presence of a stylus particularly won our praise. Although it isn’t significantly smaller than the Galaxy Tab S6 and, oddly, is also heavier, if you don’t want to spend a lot of money, you could like this.

Android tablets

7. Samsung Galaxy Tab S6

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Weight: 420g
  • Dimensions: 244.5 x 154.3 x 7mm
  • OS: Android 9 (upgrade to Android 10)
  • Screen size: 10.5-inch
  • Resolution: 1600 x 2560 pixels
  • CPU: Snapdragon 855
  • Storage: 128GB/256GB
  • microSD slot: Yes
  • Battery: 7,040mAh
  • Rear camera: 13MP (wide) + 5MP (ultrawide)
  • Front camera: 8MP

TODAY’S BEST DEALS

REASONS TO BUY

  • Stunning AMOLED display
  • S Pen included in the price

REASONS TO AVOID

  • No headphone jack
  • Inadequate Samsung One UI

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is still a fantastic Android tablet with many excellent features, despite not being the newest model. The S Pen pen that comes with it can be used to take notes, sketch, and do a lot more on the tablet’s display. To make it more like a laptop, you can also get a smart keyboard.

One of the attractions of the Galaxy Tab S6 is its 10.5-inch AMOLED screen, which has an outstanding 1600 x 2560 resolution. Additionally, this tablet has two back cameras with which we were generally satisfied by tablet standards, allowing for better photography than on many other slates. Even if it doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone port and the user interface has some peculiarities of its own, it’s still a top Android slate.

Amazon Fire HD 8

8. Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Weight: 355g
  • Dimensions: 202 x 137 x 9.7mm
  • OS: Fire OS
  • Screen size: 8-inch
  • Resolution: 880 x 1280
  • CPU: quad-core
  • Storage: 32GB/64GB
  • Battery: up to 12 hours
  • Rear camera: 2MP (wide)
  • Front camera: 2MP

TODAY’S BEST DEALS

REASONS TO BUY

  • Extremely affordable
  • Excellent front camera positioning

REASONS TO AVOID

  • POOR SCREEN QUALITY
  • LOCKED TO AMAZON’S ECOSYSTEM

The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) is the most recent edition of Amazon’s 8-inch tablet, along with the Fire HD 8 Plus. By choosing the Fire HD 8 (2020) over the Plus model, you receive a slightly less powerful processor and no wireless charging, but otherwise almost comparable hardware at a cheaper cost. Even though it has 30% more power than its predecessor, better battery life, twice as much storage, and a USB-C connector instead of a micro USB port, this is nonetheless familiar ground for anybody who has used an Amazon tablet in the past.

The screen resolution wasn’t great, and you’re forced to use Amazon’s ecosystem, which isn’t as robust as full-fat Android. However, if you have Amazon Prime, a lot of your stuff will be prominently displayed, and you’ll pay considerably less per month than you would for the majority of the other top Android tablets.

9. Huawei MatePad Pro

9. Huawei MatePad Pro

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Weight: 460g
  • Dimensions: 246 x 159 x 7.2mm
  • OS: Android 10
  • Screen size: 10.8-inch
  • Resolution: 1600 x 2560
  • CPU: Kirin 990
  • RAM: 6GB/8GB
  • Storage: 128GB/256GB/512GB
  • Battery: 7,250mAh
  • Rear camera: 13MP (wide)
  • Front camera: 8MP

TODAY’S BEST DEALS

REASONS TO BUY

  • Hardware that is powerful
  • A lightweight, durable design

Reasons to avoid

  • Limited software capabilities
  • No headphone jack

In many aspects, the Huawei MatePad Pro is a very good competitor to the iPad Pro line, from its high-quality 10.8-inch screen to its top-tier processing power and its long-lasting battery. The Huawei MatePad Pro is a high-end, productivity-focused tablet that also features a sleek, thin, and light design. It also comes with an optional pen and keyboard.

In contrast, we discovered while testing that the MatePad Pro’s main drawback is the absence of Google services, including access to the Google Play app store and Google apps like Maps. For many individuals, it will be a significant problem; yet, if you can live without it, this tablet comes closer than most Android slates to replicating the iPad Pro experience.
